According to an announcement from Bethesda, Fallout 76 will soon allow players to build underground bases. This feature represents one of many changes in the upcoming "Steel Dawn" update.
Although the response was not good when the game was released, Fallout 76 has made good progress in the past two years. For one thing, the game enriches the single-player experience and updates the "Wastelanders" expansion to create a deeper story. The game also adds some multiplayer modes, giving players new ways to cooperate and fight. In addition, the game also gives players more freedom to build their base (called CAMP in the game).
The Steel Dawn update will allow players to build an underground CAMP expansion as a shelter. The shelter will first be available on the newly restored public test server in Fallout 76. Player feedback may influence Bethesda's design of the shelter in the actual game. There will be three types of shelters in the game, and players can choose one of them to build in their CAMP. The construction budget for each type of shelter is separated from CAMP and other shelters, making it easier for players to show creativity. The best part is that there will be no material requirements for player decoration in the test server, and the decoration project can be completed faster and easier.
Of course, the players in the test server still have a lot to do outside of building the shelter. After adding refuge, Bethesda will let players test the Steel Dawn mission and some other upcoming content, especially the update will add the controversial Brotherhood of Steel, players can look forward to more content.
Nevertheless, public test server players still need to endure a period of failure experience. Fallout 76 did not completely fix the bugs, and more bugs may be exposed when testing the shelter. Of course, such testing is part of eliminating bugs. When Steel Dawn is officially released, the design of the shelter will become free and easy. Hurry up and
