Anthem’s Cataclysm has finally landed on the game's PTR, along with a series of new Masterwork and Legendary weapons coming onto the PTS. In a new preview from YouTube's KhrazeGaming, we got a closer look at some of the new weapons that are being added to the game with the Cataclysm update. Each of these new guns seems to have a special properties that sound pretty cool. And their designs are neat as well.
 
These weapons have been extracted from the War Chests, available from the Seasonal Store in Fort Tarsis. Players can buy these chests with in-game currency- the red Crystals, earned from the Cataclysm event (the red Crystals). At the time of this publication one War Chest costs 1100 Crystals.
 
The nine new weapons are considered energy weapons, something different from the more mundane weapons released so far. These nine new weapons all have elemental procs, so they will go nicely with a specific build like Fire, Lightning or Cold, for example. A potential downside is that they will be useless against same-elemental-shielded enemies.
 
There is no official information how many and what types of new weapons are coming with the Cataclysm just yet, but thanks to this, we can have a look at some of the new top-tier guns and their special perks (the orange text). The list of the newly revealed guns is as follows:
 
Jarra’s Wrath (Volt Caster) – Blasts a short-range arc of lightning


 
Lightning Rod (Volt Caster) – Calls down lightning on a specific location


 
Razorwing (Blade Slinger) – Launches a heavy blade that bounces between targets


 
Rainmaker (Pulse Accelerator) – Fires an energy burst that explodes into smaller projectiles


 
Shard Storm (Blade Slinger) – Launches experimental crystal projectiles across the immediate area


 
Gravedigger (Pulse Accelerator) – Fires an increasingly powerful stream of energy


 
Bad Omen (Pulse Accelerator) – Charges to fire a burst of energy projectiles


 
Riza’s Ripper (Blade Slinger) – Fires a barbed blade that inflicts ongoing shrapnel damage


 
Flashfire (Volt Caster) – Fires a lightning attack that jumps from enemy to enemy
