Another year, another Madden. This year, we're getting Madden NFL 20 along with a number of new features and gameplay tweaks. If you can’t wait to play the game now and can’t participate in EA Play’s main events, there will be a closed beta taking place next week, offering a opportunity to try out the new game ahead of its release. The Madden 20 closed beta starts on June 14th and ends on June 16th, and two different game modes will be available for the duration with four playable NFL teams to pick from. Face of the Franchise: QB1 and Madden Ultimate Team aren’t available in beta. Those four teams include the Kansas City Chiefs, Los Angeles Rams, New England Patriots and New Orleans Saints.

 
 

So, how to get into the closed beta?
 
Unfortunately, Not everyone will be able to gain access to the beta. You will need a code.
 
Those who attend EA Play have a chance to get a beta code at the Madden booth on-site. Between June 10 and June 14, EA will give out codes via stream/social media and you'll have to follow the official Madden Twitch or Twitter account (@EAMaddenNFL). In addition, MUTHEAD and Reddit (Madden Ultimate Team) will also offer fans an opportunity to get codes. Finally you can check the email associated with your EA account to see if you get a Madden 20 closed beta code. EA is sending out Madden 20 beta codes to linked accounts, especially those who competed in the Madden Championship Series.
 
These are the only official ways to get the Madden 20 closed beta codes. We may see some users start selling Madden 20 beta codes on eBay once the rollout picks up.
 
The closed beta is for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One users, and codes are redeemable through each platforms normal process.
 
How to Download the Madden 20 Beta?
 
Once you get a Madden 20 beta code, you need to redeem it on the PlayStation Store or the Xbox Store. You can do this in your browser, the app on your phone or on your console.
So,if you receive a code, here's how you can gain access to the beta.
 
For PlayStation:
Open the PlayStation Store from your PlayStation 4.
Choose Redeem Codes from the Store menu.
Enter your code and follow the on-screen instructions.
 
For Xbox:
Go to the Games store.
Choose: Use a code and type in the code.
 
Your Madden 20 beta download will start when it is available. We don’t know how much if any of a pre-load there will be. 
 
Note that Per EA, streaming of beta footage is prohibited. Any streams or videos posted of beta gameplay will be removed, and the associated with the will have its access to the beta revoked.
