When it comes to sports game, many players are willing to play them with their friends. They can share the experience of matches and feel the different results of the same match. With the release of MLB The Show 22, players are eager to know how to join the match with friends in the game. There are multiple game modes for players to choose in MLB 22. You can decide which mode to play with friends in the game. Additionally, players can buy MLB 22 Stubs to select some good items for characters, which help players to adapt to the competitive matches well in the early stage of MLB 22. 

 

How to Play With Friends in MLB

While there’s no explicit “Multiplayer” menu option, the game modes you’re looking for are directly after you open from the game start screen, labeled “Custom Leagues” and “Online-Co-Op”.  The former is a more complicated option where you build a league to play with multiple friends, customize it to your desired settings and competitiveness, and select your teams, but this will require 3 other players.  The latter is a way for you and 1 or 2 friends to play 2v2 or 3v3 against other players online right away.

 

If you want to play just a normal baseball game with currently updated rosters, start by clicking your profile icon on the main menu in the top left corner of the screen. This action will take you to your created ballplayer tab over to My Profile and select Friends. Friends on your console that have The Show will immediately appear on your friend list, but if you want to play with someone on another platform, tab over to Requests and input their MLB The Show name fully.

 

When you find who you want to play with, select them from your friend list and press Invite to Exhibition Game. You will then be able to set up options for the game and wait for them to join. If you receive an invite, check your console’s notifications to accept it. As of this writing, we have not found an in-game location where the invites are stored.

 

Diamond Dynasty might be the signature way to play against friends, but franchise mode and straight-up exhibition matches haven't been forgotten either. By clicking on the friend, players can have a no-stakes head-to-head classic matchup using their favorite team.

 

Franchise mode allows players to control their team throughout a season; they can even have one friend for each team for a potentially massive spectacle fit for an entire workplace. Conduct trades and see who can best improve their team for a drawn-out and rewarding experience.

 

To play a Home Run Derby with friends, select the game mode and then Play Online. You will be taken to a screen to choose the slugger you want to play as and then vote on the stadium you want to hit in. Choose Play With Friends, and if they have set up a lobby, their name will appear here. 

 

Single player has been updated with The Show 22 changing Road to the Show a bit, but online co-op will likely be a big draw for those with friends who also play the game. Unfortunately, matchmaking for online co-op is only against random opponents at launch, so four or six friends cannot set it up to play against each other. During the setup phase, the team Captain will be selected, though, with the chosen player taking over managerial responsibilities like substitutions and bullpen calls during the game.
