Zeratul is a member of the dark templar, a group of renowned psionic warriors whose forebears were exiled from the protoss homeworld of Aiur over a thousand years ago. The dark templar refused to join the Khala, the communal mind link of the protoss people, preferring instead to strive as individuals. A leader among the dark templar, Zeratul holds the rank of prelate, and has been pivotal in ensuring the survival of the protoss since the earliest days of the zerg threat.

The Dark Templar

As a commander, Zeratul harnesses the power of the xel'naga for his army and upgrades. Zeratul is a heroic unit who can be controlled on the battlefield. He can also call down reinforcements led by notable protoss warriors. Though they cannot be directly controlled, you'll still be able to guide them to key locations during the fight. Armed with the wisdom and might of the ancient Xel'naga, Zeratul stands poised to change fate. . . once and for all.

Gather the Artifacts

Zeratul relies on mysterious methods to help his allies in battle. During each mission, he can use Prophetic Vision to discover and pick up fragments of lost xel’naga artifacts. One he has gathered three, he’ll fully assemble an artifact and gain an incredible new power. Zeratul's warriors can also gain upgrades from the artifacts you find, and the benefits get more varied the more you collect.

Complement Your Strategy

While Zeratul and his forces fight on, you will have the chance to build his top bar by choosing artifact abilities that complement your strategy. For example, Stasis Beam will put certain enemies in stasis, allowing you to cut the others down easily. Void Blink confers another massive advantage that will reduce the cooldown of all your units' Blink abilities, allowing them to wreak even more havoc on your foes.
