What Are Survivor Medals in Fortnite?

Survivor medals are a questline that requires you to outlast a specific number of opponents while also acquiring a certain number of eliminations.

 

The initial Fortnite Survivor Quest holds a Common 10 ranking, requiring you to achieve one elimination and survive with 50 players remaining. As the quests continue, the number of players who need to be alive decreases.

 

These medals can be completed in regular Battle Royale or Zero Build. Furthermore, the quest progress will reset each match, meaning you must meet the requirements in a single game.

 

How to Obtain Survivor Medals in Fortnite

Generally, players have to do two things to get survivor medals. The first one is to outlive a certain number of players, and the second is to have a certain number of eliminating other players. As you progress, the challenge will become harder. The good thing is that you can complete this challenge in both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.

 

Each time you complete the challenge, the number of eliminating players will increase, and the number of players you must outlive will decrease. You can check your progress by going to the Quests menu and selecting the Survivor Medals quest from the left column. In there, you will see how many challenges you’ve completed, what’s the next challenge, and how many left to complete the quest.

 

Survivor Medal Rewards in Fortnite

Despite their increased difficulty level, the Survivor Quests are definitely worth trying. There are 70 stages for players to power through, and each time they complete a stage, they'll receive 10,000 XP. In total, gamers can unlock up to 700,000 XP, which is worth nearly nine account levels, boosting the Battle Pass significantly.

 

On top of the experience points, fans will receive the Prized Llama back bling once they receive the Common Survivor Medal. As they continue to complete more tiers, they'll earn additional styles for the Prized Llama back bling. They can unlock the silver, green, blue, purple, orange, turquoise, and golden Prized Llama variants.

 

How to earn Fortnite Prized Llamas

Once you've beaten all of the Common quests you'll receive you first Fortnite Prized Llama back bling, a cosmetic reward that you can equip to show off your survival skills to other players. You'll then move on to Uncommon 10 in the Survivor Quests and repeat the process again at the next difficult level. In total there are seven Survivor Medal rarities to work through, and each time you complete the 10 Survivor Quests associated with it you'll unlock a new Prize Llama back bling in the appropriate rarity color:

Rare - blue

Epic - purple

Legendary - orange

Exotic - cyan

Mythic - gold
