Fans of "Splitting Cell" have been wishing for many years that Ubisoft can launch a new series, but Ubisoft officially only launched cartoons, and still has no plans to launch a sequel, except for the protagonist to appear in other games of its own. The official social account of "Rainbow Six: Siege" announced on August 12 that Sam Fisher will join the game as a new operator. Sam Fisher will be a playable character in the third season of Rainbow Six: Siege, Operation Shadow Legacy.
 

 
 

Under the code name "Zero," Fisher will play as an attacking operator, using a two-way drill camera known as the Argus Launcher to always stay one (or two) steps ahead of the opposition. The Argus Launcher pierces soft or reinforced walls, windows, hatches and is capable of sticking to any surface inside the game. Once Fisher activates his premier gadget, he can spy through to the other side of the terrain that the Argus Launcher is attached to, also allowing him a single laser charge from his camera that can be used to damage Defenders or their trusty gadgets.
 
Ubi has rarely touched its small collection of weapon sights over the years, but Shadow Legacy is simultaneously dropping four new scopes into the mix and completely reworking who gets what. No operator has gone untouched. With the introduction of the 1.5X, 2X, and 3X especially, Ubi has more ways to encourage specific playstyles. From what I gathered poring over every operator’s new sight options, Ubi is placing a bigger premium than ever on the ACOG (now dubbed the 2.5X scope to reflect its magnification). Very few attacking weapons still have access to the scope, most of them falling to assault rifles with a low fire rate, like Sledge’s L85A2. Now, most assault rifles are capped at the 2X scope.Based on preference, that could be viewed as a nerf or buff. The 2X can’t see quite as far, but it allows a wider FOV and a clean cross-shaped sight picture.
 
Shadow Legacy will also bring some improvements to the game itself, including a new contextual ping system, reworked EMP grenades, match replays and web-based stat tracking. You can also expect a refreshed Chalet map with new paths. The gameplay tweaks and updated map will be free for all players when Shadow Legacy goes live. A test server will be ready on August 17th. Only Year 5 Pass holders will have Fisher at launch, though — you’ll have to wait a week later to buy access with either Renown or R6 credits. Still, this might be heartening if you’ve missed Splinter Cell and want more to tide you over than a Ghost Recon mission.
