Release Date of WoW 18 Years Anniversary Event

World of Warcraft's 18th-anniversary event began on Sunday, November 6, 2022, and will run until Sunday, 27, 2022, giving players nearly a whole month to enjoy the event.

 

The anniversary will cover all of Dragonflight's pre-patch from the already-released phase one to the soon-to-release phase two on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, all the way to Dragonflight's official launch on Monday, November 28, 2022.

Several Classic Bosses Return During WoW 18 Years Anniversary Event

To celebrate this momentous occasion, some familiar foes have returned to Azeroth—with some slightly updated abilities. Players level 30 and above can take on Lord Kazzak, Azuregos, and one of the four Dragons of Nightmare each day for some loot and Timewarped Badges.

 

You’ll also be able to do a little Timewalking to take on the Doomwalker with the weekly quest, “Doomwalkin’ Has Come Knockin” for Timewarped Badges and a chance at additional rewards, including the Doomwalker Trophy Stand toy or Illidari Doomhawk mount.

 

New Gear Drops in WoW 18 Years Anniversary Event

In the process of the 18th Anniversary event, Chromie offers a quest called Doomwalkin’ Has Come Knockin’. In the event, the Doomwalker has the chance to drop item level 272 gear, helping players play catch-up, and be fully ready for all of the Dragonflight content come expansion release. On top of that, The Originals World Quest will also have the chance to drop item level 272 gear.

 

Prepare for the update of WoW Dragonflight

During the anniversary, both factions will see their ranks grow. Starting on November 15, phase two of the Dragonflight pre-expansion patch will begin, and players will then be able to create a Dracthyr Evoker of their own to play and see how they came into the ranks of the Alliance and the Horde. Though the anniversary's experience buff may be a moot point for Evokers, the reputation buff will remain active until November 27 for players to use as they see fit.
