WoW Shadowlands 9.0.1 Pre-patch : How to Obtain Catch-Up Gear Before the Scourge Invasion
World of Warcraft is a massively multiplayer online role-playing game released in 2004 by Blizzard Entertainment. In over the past years since its release, it has attracted tons of followers. This year we will witness another big change. That is WoW 9.0.1 Pre-patch. Before the Shadowlands expansion goes live late in 2020, the WoW 9.0.1 pre-patch has launched, there have been updates to many of the game’s systems. Players will not be able to access the new zones as of now but many new expansion’s features are on display. You can experience a Scourge invasion, new leveling features, and new abilities and character changes. With this in mind, we have prepared a list of Battle of Azeroth activities for those who want to kickstart the process of preparing their characters that may be behind on gear. These activities are an easy way to get freshly leveled 50 characters out of questing gear and with item levels close to those dropped from the Scourge Invasion. Now follow me, let us take a look at together! Here is the list you need to know! Do not miss it!
World Quests
World Quests are one of the main ways to start gearing up your alts. There are two ways to obtain gear from World Quests: From completing World Quests that reward items, and as rewards for completing 4 quests for Emissaries that are offering gear. The gear rewarded from World Quests will scale together with your item level, up to a certain point.
*Items from World Quests start scaling from item level 60 to item level 85. As new world quests spawn every couple hours, there are multiple chances of obtaining gear every day.
*Gear from Emissaries has a chance to spawn once every day - An emissary can spawn a cache containing a piece of armor, Azerite piece or weapon fit for your specialization. Emissary gear starts scaling from item level 60 to item level 100.
N'Zoth Assault Gear
There are multiple sources of easy gear that come from Visions of N'Zoth Assaults:
*Rares in Uldum and Vale of Eternal Blossoms have a chance to drop gear tokens such as Black Empire Plate Helm, which can be instantly converted into a piece of gear with item level 78. If you don't get a token that's ideal for your class, you can just save it for other alts, as these are Battle.net account bound!
*Completing Assaults will grant you a cache that has a high chance of containing a piece of gear that scales from item level 60 all the way to item level 100, depending on your current item level. In addition, on your very first Assault completion, as part of the Visions of N'Zoth Introduction questline, you will receive a free item level 100 bracers! Assaults can be completed 3 times a week (one major and two minor), so that's 3 chances of high-level loot.
*In addition, World Bosses spawn in zones with minor assaults - Vuk'laz the Earthbreaker in Uldum and Grand Empress Shek'zara in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. One world boss is available every week and you can kill them once for two chances at item level 100 gear! Just remember to use a Seal of Wartorn Fate for that second chance at gear.
Legendary Cloak
Ashjra'kamas, Shroud of Resolve is a legendary cloak that can be obtained after completing part of the questline for Patch 8.3, Visions of N'Zoth. This questline takes a few hours to complete on a fresh level 50 alt but the reward is well worth it: With a starting item level of 125, even just obtaining the cloak already awards you with a piece of gear that will not be replaced until Shadowlands arrives!
Horrific Visions Gear
Horrific Visions are a scenario added in Patch 8.3, where you traverse through a corrupted version of Stormwind or Orgrimmar and save several characters. Although you can earn better rewards the more of a Horrific Vision you complete, even the lowest of geared characters are able to quickly zone in and kill the main boss, Thrall or Alleria, for a free item level 80 piece every week.
Benthic Gear
Benthic gear was once a really good alternative to gear up alts. Although their initial item level of 66 no longer really holds up, it is still a cheap alternative to get your recent character leveled to 50 out of questing gear.
Benthic gear can be purchased from completing world quests in Nazjatar or purchased from Artisan Itanu Finder Palta for 5 Prismatic Manapearl a piece. Completing the Nazjatar questline up to Scouting the Palace, Scouting the Palace will award you with 20 Prismatic Manapearls that are usually to be used on another quest to upgrade Benthic gear, but you can simply never complete this quest and purchase 4 pieces of Benthic gear!
Above are some easy activities we can do to get freshly leveled 50 characters out of questing gear. You can just have a try. To level up faster and buy armorsor weapons to improve your fighting power in the game, you are highly recommended to
