If players are going to modify stats of Elden Ring Items in the game, they need to find a NPC called Boc the Seamster. He is skilled at changing clothing and permitting players to modify stats of some items to a limited degree. How to Find Boc the Seamster in Elden Ring

Boc the Seamster is first found southeast of Agheel Lake North, disguised as a tree in an area of trees and bushes. If you strike the talking tree, which is a brown-green colour and stands out from the other shrubbery in the area, he'll transform into a person and detail his background a little more. He'll give you 10 Mushrooms, but promise he can get more from a beachfront cave.

 

How to Complete Boc the Seamster Quest in Elden Ring

You’ll find the Coastal Cave to the southwest of the Church of Elleh (be sure to bring a torch along!) and once you head to the Site of Grace at the entrance, you’ll find Boc doubled up on the ground. Speak to him to learn that the inhabitants of the cave didn’t take kindly to his return. Looks like it’s up to the Tarnished to put things right for Boc, so head through the cave and you’ll face off against the Boss there, two Demi-Human Chiefs who, once defeated, will drop the Sewing Needle and Tailoring Tools.

 

The Tailoring Tools will allow you to alter your Armor at any Site of Grace at the cost of some Runes. This will slightly change the appearance and alter your stats. The Sewing Needle is the main reason for your visit here however, this is what Boc was looking for so return to the cave entrance and hand it over to him. Speak to him until he has nothing new to say to learn he has a renewed lease on life before departing once you leave the area.

 

Go back to Boc once you've completed the battle and give the Sewing Needle to Boc. Boc will be inspired to live on and become a seamster and leave the cave behind, while you are able to keep the Tailoring Tools to alter certain armor while resting at a Site of Grace - which can remove cloaks and lower armor and weight values.

 

After you've learned How to Beat Godrick the Grafted, and reach the Lake-Facing Cliffs in the Liurnia of the Lakes area, Boc the Seamster will be nearby. Speak to him and he'll tell you that he can alter garments. While this was possible with the Tailoring Tools at a Site of Grace previously, he promises to do it for free, as your personal seamster. He'll continue to provide this service at East Raya Lucaria Gate and East Capital Ramparts as you progress through the game.

 

Meeting him at the East Capital Rampart Site of Grace will cause him to discuss the Erdtree. Players can gift him the Gold Sewing Needle at this point (which is found at the Church of Vows in Liurna of the Lakes, inside a chest), unlocking customization for some armor sets originally worn by bosses. Boc will continue to offer all his services here.
