As players first come into the world of Elden Ring, they are surprised about the large scale of Lands Between in Elden Ring. While they may get lost in the beginning of the game, because they have no access to enter in the hidden areas in the map. If they want to travel around these areas, they need to find the Map fragments and unlock the hidden area. How to Get Map Fragments in Elden Ring

Elden Ring map fragments are important to find as you work through the Lands Between. In the early parts of the game, they're located in easy-to-reach spots, but as you get deeper, they start to get tricky to find. When you find them though, you get to reveal the map of the area, which shows you all the places you can explore and fight the game's huge cast of bosses.

 

For beginners, you can actually see these pillars on the map before you've unlocked the fragment if you uncover enough of the foggy blankness by exploring. But later in the game, these items are store on bodies, so it'll take some poking around to find. 

 

East Limgrave

The second map that you can find in the initial phase of the game is Limgrave, East. This is basically the left-hand-side area of the center part of Limgrave, and that is where you start out in Elden Ring after finishing the tutorial. Finding the Limgrave, East map fragment can certainly scare the living daylight out of some players. You’ll need to brave the Mistwood Ruins for it, and this is where you’ll find immense bears wandering about. The map fragment can be grabbed right alongside the main road seen on the map.  

 

East/southeast of the Gatefront Ruins, across the bridge and down the road, is the Mistwood. Hang slightly south along the road until you reach the Minor Erdtree. You might also come across a large stone building with an elevator in it, which leads to Siofra River (next on this list). Look for the large bear clawing at a nearby regular tree, and go to the western side of the Minor Erdtree. The fragment is at the base of an obelisk close by.

 

Mt. Gelmir Map Fragment

The simple answer is to go to the Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite and up past the Full-Grown Fallingstar Beast boss area, taking the stone bridge to the terrain below, venturing down the slope into the desolate woods to find this fragment.  You’ll see the path fork towards the Volcano Manor, ignore this, for now, going further downhill past some Spider Hands and the post will be there, near the Road of Iniquity site of grace and piles of burning corpses.

 

If you’ve not reached this point, we’ve got a helpful guide to get you there from Altus Plateau, starting at the Bridge of Inequity just west of the Minor Erdtree.  This route is long and dangerous, on much of which you can’t ride Torrent.  The path starts from a rope ladder along the left walls as you enter the ruined battlefield, and from there you’ll eventually reach a point where there are sets of two ladders, just stick to the ladders on the left.  You’ll eventually reach a wooden bridge that leads to Ninth Mt. Gelmir Campsite.
