Repair kits Characteristics
Repair kits and improved repair kits are miscellaneous items in the Fallout 76 update Wild Appalachia. They were introduced in patch 1.1.3.11. Repair kits are single-use consumable items which allow player characters to immediately restore the condition of any item in their stash or inventory to 100% (basic repair kits) or 150% (improved repair kits) for zero crafting material cost. They cannot be dropped, crafted, sold, or traded with other players.
Two forms: Basic Repair Kits and Improved Repair Kits
Basic Repair Kits
·Available to be purchased from the Atomic Shop.
·If you purchase Basic Repair Kits by entering the Atomic Shop from the game’s Main Menu, they will be added to your most recently played Character’s inventory.
·Prior to purchasing Repair Kits, please ensure you’ve logged into a world with the character that you’d like to receive them.
·Single-use consumables that can be used to repair one item to 100% Condition without using any crafting materials.
·Cannot be crafted, dropped, sold to vendors, or traded with other players.
·The number of Repair Kits you own will be displayed to you on the “Repair Kit” button in the “Inspect/Repair” menu.
Improved Repair Kits
·Not available in the Atomic Shop
·These are rare items that can be earned by completing some types of in-game content. Currently, they are only available as drops from the Scorchbeast Queen.
·Single-use consumables that can be used to buff one item to 150% Condition without using any crafting materials.
·Cannot be crafted, dropped, sold to vendors, or traded with other players.
How to get Repaired Kits?
That’s bound to be a handy tool to have available in a game about surviving in a hostile wasteland, but some fans aren’t happy about the way the repair kits are being included in the game. They say the kits break a promise Bethesda made in the lead-up to Fallout 76’s launch, which was that micro transactions would solely be used for cosmetic items. While improved repair kits are planned as rare rewards for difficult in-game activities (like killing the Scorchbeast Queen), the basic repair kits can be purchased using Atoms, Fallout 76’s in-game currency that you can buy for real-world money.
