New looting system
 
After a fan suggestion on Reddit, Epic Games have said they will investigate a new looting method for Fortnite, that would drastically change the way weapons and items are equipped. In Fortnite, all players have five slots for weapons and items, and when a new item is picked up it will always be placed in the first available empty slot, however, this can cause the occasional problem.
 
Players will often have a preferred slot for each type of weapon (i.e. shotgun in slot 1, rifle in slot 2 and so on), and when an item is placed in the incorrect slot, players will need to manually move it around.
 
So after considering the suggestion from the reditter, Fortnite decided to investigate the idea and try to make a new looting system which would allow players to directly swap weapons rather than new pickups being placed in an empty slot,when players still have empty slots in their inventory. Hopefully, we can soon see the new looting system in near future.
 

New weapon: Scoped Revolver
 
While drastic changes to the loot system are on the way, it seems that Fortnite is about to release an all new weapon, named Scoped Revolver, which which has a scope on it, to their game after the in-game news feed showed off a Revolver. So far, the new weapon’s stats are yet unknown, however one could expect it to perform similar to the other revolver, but with more range. Fortnite tends to release their patches on Tuesdays, so you can expect to see the Scoped Revolver live in game around January 15.
 
Uneven Ground Wall Placement Problem will be fixed in Patch Notes 7.20
 
Building structures are one of the most prominent features of Fortnite that decides that outcome of the match. However, the uneven ground throughout the map often puts you at a disadvantage in the game. That’s why players cannot place a wall between two walls. This creates a big problem for competitive players. The wall placements, partially below the ground level or completely obstructed by the ground, will be fixed soon in the next patch. The new feature will kick in when a player tries to place a wall and the connecting piece below it is at least 70% underground. The extra piece will consume no resources and will be built for free. Just like other player structures, this connecting piece will inherit the team ownership rules. So, on this Thursday, we may see the new feature added to the game. In a world, this is a great news for Fortnite players.
